Paper cast is a process of the Refabriek exhibition of manystudio at the Dutch Design Week 2011. It is linked to the process of Thomas Vailly – shapeless objects by the similar application of epoxy resin. Freely created virtual 3d object are processed by the computer to get developable surfaces. This developable surfaces are then printed on paper, cut out and glued together. This paper model is then used to create a mould for casting in ceramic. By this process we establish a shortcut between digital and material skipping the time consuming prototype making. This project was created in a collaboration with Adrien Petrucci.
